Car Won T Start Unless I Jump The Solenoid. If you look at pic 2, i highlighted 3 fusible links from the starter solenoid. If it doesn't, then we need to check the wiring.
If i leave the key in the run position, pop the hood and jump the 2 big solenoid terminals on the fender with a screwdriver it starts and runs fine. The first sign of a damaged or failing starter is that there is an audible clicking sound when you turn the key. Basically, you should see 12.65 volts with the car off, and over 14 volts with the car running and no loads turned on.
